RAICHE; Alfred Raiche, April 29, 1930 - February 17, 2012. It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we, the family of Joseph (Alfred) Raiche, announce the peaceful passing of an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather, uncle and special friend. After only five days apart from his beloved wife, Norma, he went with God to join her in Heaven. Even death could not keep soul mates apart. Alf was born on April 29, 1930 to Albert and Fernande Raiche at Hafford, Saskatchewan. Alfred is lovingly remembered by his family; Randall (Joan), Freemon, Miquela (Jason), Eli, daughter-in-law Carol; Janet (Dennis) Baranieski, Brita (Brennan), Brendan (Jolene), Brianne (Andre), Brent; Dean (Sue); Darrin, Darien, Adrianna; son-in-law James Lommer, Josh (Dallas), son Shamus, and Jodi (Jason). Alfred was pre-deceased by his wife of 59 years Norma (Feb.12, 2012), daughter Jo Ann, parents, in-laws, and brothers Albert and Edward. Alf grew up in the Hafford, Saskatchewan area and mastered many career paths in his lifetime. Alf and Norma moved from Saskatoon to Kopps Kove, Turtle Lake to enjoy their retirement. Grandpa was an avid outdoorsman and his passion for woodworking, mechanics, gardening, and telling stories is something that has been passed on to his children and grandchildren. He loved to visit with people of all walks of life and found connections with everyone he met. Grandpa was often found playing cards, tossing "rings", or having coffee with friends and family. A skilled workman, dedicated family man, and spirited individual is what Grandpa was and he will be forever missed but never forgotten. A special thank you to the staff at Battlefords Union Hospital and The Riverside Health Complex in Turtleford, SK for treating Grandpa so well during his time spent at both locations. We appreciate everything you did for him. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made directly to The Riverside Health Complex in Turtleford, SK.
