OMILON,

OMILON, DORA (NEMISH), October 20, 1913 - August 24, 2013. Her working hands are now at rest. It is with great sadness, but grateful hearts for our time together, that we announce the passing of Dora. Dora is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Brian) Testo of Peers, AB, Irene Olson (Chris) of Kelowna, BC; grandsons, Daniel Testo of Edson, AB, Kori Olson of Kelowna, BC; and granddaughter, Lenora (Paul) Collins and their sons, Aidan and Parker of Airdrie, AB; sister, Tina Pawlyshyn of Wakaw, SK; sister-in-law, Mary Nemish of Hafford, SK; nieces, Irene Duma of Saskatoon, SK, Elsie Eskra of Christopher Lake, SK, Victoria Kereluk-Regehr of Saskatoon, SK, Debra Dryka of Prince Albert, SK; great nieces and nephews and their families and close friends. Dora was born to Wasyl and Malanka (Michayluk) Nemish in Blaine Lake, SK, the fourth of seven children. Family was everything to Dora; a deep rooted devotion which was cast from the time she was growing up surrounded by her parents and siblings, that you put family first. She spent her early adult years working with her family on the farm. Times were hard but they persevered and cherished all the good times. In 1949, Dora married her husband Paul and together they farmed in Paynton, SK till 1970. They retired to North Battleford and when Paul passed away in 1973 Dora moved to Saskatoon in 1975 where she resided in her home till 1992. She then moved to Ilarion Residence where she thoroughly enjoyed her years there, lending a helping hand and engaging in many card games, bingos and other activities. Many lasting friendships were formed there. In 2007 she left her beloved Saskatchewan and came to live with her daughter and family in Peers, AB. Her children, and later in her life, her grandchildren were everything to her and there was nothing she won't do for them. Dora was always there in the times of need and in good times to lend a helping hand to family and friends. An avid gardener and cook, she enjoyed having large gatherings at her home. Lasting memories of those times will be cherished forever in our hearts. The last two years of her life, Dora was a resident at the Long Term Care Home in Edson, AB, where she passed away peacefully. Dora was predeceased by her loving husband, Paul; her parents, Wasyl and Malanka Nemish; sisters, Polly (Duma), Mary (Kereluk), Annie (Rawlyk); brothers, John and Dick. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Funeral Chapel (311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon) with Rev. Fr. André Lalach officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. To send online condolences, visit "Obituaries & Tributes". Arrangements entrusted to Greg Lalach, Park Funeral Chapel, 306.244.2103 . ____________________________________________________
