McMASTER - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lena McMaster, late of North Battleford on June 21, 2013 at the age of 91 years. Lena was born on November 20, 1921 at Red Pheasant Cree Nation, SK. Lena is predeceased by her parents George and Bella Wuttunee: siblings Elizabeth, Douglas, Bertha, George and daughter-in-law Debbie McMaster. Her surviving siblings are Cecil (Esther) Wuttunee, Oliver Wuttunee, Mabel (Louis) Ouellette and Grace Ouellette (niece raised by Grandma Bella). She leaves her immediate family of David and Teresa (Granddaughters Julia, Ali, Erica) from Battleford; Gerald and Lynn from Philadelphia (Granddaughter Meryl in Ottawa); Howard in North Battleford (Grandson Geoffrey, Shawna, Rhys, Liam from Saskatoon) (Granddaughter Rebekah, Formiga, Sysha, Koa from Port Alberni,BC). The Funeral Service was held on Monday, June 24, 2013 from St. George's Anglican Church, Battleford with Reverend Peter Norman officiating. Pallbearers were: Craig Wuttunee, Rudy Wuttunee, Graham Wuttunee, Nelson Wuttunee, Clayton Ouellette, Perry Pambrum, and Andy Wuttunee. Interment took place at the Red Pheasant Anglican Cemetery.
