KUZIW - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Geraldine "Deanie" Kuziw, late of North Battleford, on June 3, 2014 at the age of 79 years. Deanie will be lovingly remembered by her sisters and their families: Lollie (Percy) Howard, Joyce Chmelnyk, and Leona (Norval) Sjoberg; brother Gary (Judy) Gallie and their family; special nephews and their families: Terry (Amber) Chmelnyk, Ken (Penny) Chmelnyk, Randy (Darlene) Chmelnyk, Kevin (Aileen) Bergen, and Patrick (Diane) Bergen; special great-nieces and nephew Ashla Schrader Chmelnyk, Candace Chmelnyk, Jennifer Chmelnyk, Justin Chmelnyk, Troy Chmelnyk, Jordy Bernier, Sjalyn Marchewka, Kim (Brian) Marchewka, Pam (Rodney) Eaket, and JoAnne Delain; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband John Kuziw; son Carmen; parents Adolph and Ivis Gallie; sisters Shirley Buck, Evelyn Bergen, Mary Savoie, and Lily Gerard; and brothers Terry, Sonny, and Berle Gallie; nephew Robert Chmelnyk. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from the Chapel of Sallows and McDonald - Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home, North Battleford, with Mrs. Joyce Salie officiating. Jennifer Chmelnyk, Kim Marchewka, and Natasha Livingston gave the eulogy. Pallbearers were: Terry Chmelnyk, Ken Chmelnyk, Randy Chmelnyk, Kevin Bergen, Patrick Bergen, and Justin Chmelnyk. Interment took place at the City of North Battleford Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in Deanie's memory may be made to The Alzheimer's Society or Canadian Diabetes Association.
