KULPA - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Goldie Maud Kulpa, late of Saskatoon and formerly of Mayfair on November 5, 2012 at the age of 88 years. Goldie was born on May 19, 1924 at Lorenzo, Saskatchewan. Goldie is survived by her three sisters: Lil Campbell of High River, AB; Vi McCowan of Saskatoon, SK; and Alice Linnell of Saskatoon, SK; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is predeceased by: her husband John Kulpa; parents George and Agnes Parenteau; sisters Judy Einerson and Grace Watamaniul. Goldie was outgoing, loved people and having fun. She worked hard, played hard, and she believed that life was what you make it. On the farm she enjoyed entertaining and it seemed like the house was always a gathering point for family and friends. She was always up for a game of Kaiser and a wobbly pop. She was an excellent baker, you never went away hungry or thirsty, she'd have lunch made for everybody and drinks poured before you got the cards dealt. She was a practical joker and was always teasing someone, she could always make you laugh, she was infectious. The outdoors was where she loved to be. She was an excellent marksman and had numerous hunting trophies. She loved to fish; if there was a chance of throwing a line in the water you never had to ask her twice. She was a truly amazing woman that touched the lives of all she knew from that infectious smile to the twinkle in her eye. She's just gone to play a game of Kaiser. Don't worry, when we get there she'll have a drink poured and lunch waiting. The funeral service was held on Monday, November 12, 2012 from Sallows & McDonald - Wilson & Zehner Funeral Home, North Battleford, with Pastor Dan Glass officiating. Interment took place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, North Battleford. The family have requested that donations in Goldie's memory be made to Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences for the family may be left at Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kristeen Thiessen of Sallows and McDonald - Wilson and Zehner Funeral Home, North Battleford. 445-2418
