HENDERSON: In Loving Memory of William James Henderson who was born February 28, 1927 at Moose Jaw, SK and passed away October 17, 2012 at Battleford, SK. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Alice ; children and grandchildren: JoAnne (Doug) Goyette, Olds, AB & family: Kiley (Felix), Brina & Savannah; Kelly (Corey) Henderson, Bowser, BC & family: Jaime (Shawn) & Carlina (Paolo); Graham (Kim) Henderson, Lloydminster, SK & family: Kevin & Sarah (Greg); Clark Henderson, Vancouver, BC; Dawn Henderson, Vancouver, BC; sisters-in-law: Beti Tremblay, Thunder Bay, ON & Dianne (Roy) Davis, Calgary, AB; brother-in-law: Richard (Florelle) Stefan, Unity, SK; nieces and nephews; cousins, Doris Lynnes and Beth Dyke of Swift Current, SK. Bill was predeceased by his parents Robert & Jane Henderson; daughter Mary; brothers: Don & Hartley Henderson; in-laws: Nick & Margaret Stefan; brother-in-law, Maurice Tremblay. The Funeral Service was held Monday, October 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from "The Garden Chapel" ~ Battlefords Funeral Service, North Battleford, SK with Fr Gerard Legaspi, Notre Dame De Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, North Battleford, SK Celebrant. The Eulogist was Kelly Henderson and Liturgy Of The Word was shared by Reading - Ecclesiastes 3:1-11: JoAnne Goyette; Psalm 23 - Robert MacKay; Gospel - Fr. Gerard Legaspi; Prayers Of The Faithful: Richard & Florelle Stefan. The Music Ministry was Organist - Glenn Goodman; Soloist - Robert MacKay: "Ave Maria" and Battlefords Blend Sweet Adelines: "How We Sang Today" & "Irish Blessing". The Honourary Pallbearers were "All who knew Bill and shared his stories". Memorials are requested to Battlefords Co-op Aquatic Centre, Box 460, North Battleford, SK S9A 2Y6. Interment will be at Wilcox, SK (at a later date). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Battlefords Funeral Service. 446-4200 Card of Thanks The family of Bill Henderson would like to thank all of their family and friends for their support and prayers at this time. Special thanks to Dr. P. Holtzhausen, the staff of Battlefords Union Hospital and Battlefords District Care Centre - Wards 1 and 3. As well many thanks to the Notre Dame CWL for the delicious lunch.We are grateful to The Battlefords Funeral Service for their professional and compassionate assistance. We cannot begin to express our appreciation to all of Bill's family and friends, from near and far, for their kind words, phone calls, emails, cards, food, flowers and tributes to the Aquatic Centre in Bill's name.
