GRYBOWSKI: Michael Joseph Grybowski was born in Hafford, Sask. on March 31, 1920 and passed away peacefully at the Battlefords District Care Centre on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the age of 92.

GRYBOWSKI: Michael Joseph Grybowski was born in Hafford, Sask. on March 31, 1920 and passed away peacefully at the Battlefords District Care Centre on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the age of 92. He is survived by his brother Charles (Ann) Grybowski of Toronto, Ont., sister, Nellie Murphy (partner Graham) of Sudbury, Ont., brother-in-law, Michael Harach of Toronto, Ont, also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; a cousin, Ted (Sally) Lazarowich - longtime caregivers and special friends. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Maria (Koliniak) Grzybowski; brother, Frank (Anne) Grybowski and sisters: Katherine Harach, Anne (Joseph) More, Emily (John) Hoyle. In his early years, Michael was a salesman, teacher and lastly a farmer in the Hafford Area. He taught Industrial Arts at LaRonge, LaLoche, Meadow Lake, Hudson's Bay and Blaine Lake and was a self-taught mechanic. Upon retirement in the early 80's he moved to live in North Battleford. However, he made many trips and spent time at the farm. In 1943 Michael was in the Army and served in the 60th Coast Battery R.C.A. at Fort MacAulay. He travelled to many countries but chose the Philippines most often. Interests included travel, playing the banjo, reading and loved his farm which he visited often after retirement. May He Rest In Peace - Memory Eternal. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hafford, SK with Rev. Fr. Vladimir Simunovic Celebrant. The Honourary Pallbearers were "All Those Who Shared In Michael's Life" and Active Pallbearers were Paul Grzybowski, Mervin Grzybowski, Orest Palahicky, Roman Ewanchuk, Greg Grzybowski and Peter Roslinski. Interment took place at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Hafford, SK. Memorial Donations in Michael's memory are requested to Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Hafford, SK S0J 1A0 or Battlefords District Care Centre, Box 69, Battleford, SK S0M 0E0. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Battlefords Funeral Service, North Battleford, SK. Card Of Thanks The family of Michael Grybowski would like to sincerely thank the staff on Wards 3 and 5 of the Battlefords District Care Centre for the exceptional care, love and kindness extended to Michael during his six year stay at the home and to Dr. J. Johnson for his care and concern when called upon. Thank you to Fr. Vladimir Simunovic for the Funeral Service; Cantor - Diane Woytiuk; Soloist - Robert MacKay for the selection "How Great Thou Art"; Scripture Reader - Evelyn Grzybowski; Cross Bearer - Joel Gryzybowski; Altar Server Stan Woytiuk; all the Active Pallbearers and the Ukrainian Catholic Women for serving the funeral luncheon. Thank you to Robert MacKay and staff at the Battlefords Funeral Service for their kindness, compassion, all the help and exceptional service provided. The immediate family extends a 'special thank-you' to cousins Ted and Sally Lazarowich & Steve and Evelyn Grzybowski for all their caring and assistance provided to each other during Michael's stay at the District Care Centre and in making the funeral arrangements.
