GOLL: William Henry Goll (Bill) was born April 25, 1923 and passed away May 21, 2014. William was born in Harvey, North Dakota where he lived with his grandparents, August & Pauline Fiedler on a farm. The family moved to Canada, December, 1924 and lived in Mervin, Saskatchewan where they farmed. Five years later the family purchased a homestead 13 miles north of the nearest town called Fairholm. That district was later called Speedwell. William was the son of Olga and was raised in the Fiedler home until he was of age, using the Fiedler name until later years in life. Bill attended school in Speedwell. Bill was in the army during Second World War. Bill married Anne Dyck on February 14, 1944. Three sons were born during this time, Wilfred, Victor and Edward. In June of 1976 his wife Anne passed away. He continued to log and live on the farm. In June, 1978 Bill married Stella Klain, who lived in North Battleford. Stella had 2 sons, Lloyd and David Klain, who were married and daughter Debbie. Bill and Stella lived in North Battleford a number of years and enjoyed life to the fullest. Bill became involved in the Legion and the Knights Of Columbus. Later they moved to Turner, Montana, where they moved to look after his father Henry Goll. They enjoyed years with him until his passing, then they returned to Canada. Bill enjoyed gardening and he loved flowers and his yard was always nice and full of multi colors all summer. Bill enjoyed his children and his grandchildren. He attended graduations, birthday parties and weddings as much as he could. He was very happy when family came to visit him. In September of 2009 due to health reasons Bill and Stella decided to move back to North Battleford. January 2013 it became evident that Bill's health had deteriorated and he required continuous care. He lived at Battlefords District Care Centre where he passed away peacefully with his daughter, Debbie at his side. Bill is survived by his wife, Stella of 36 years; sons, Wilfred (Faye), Victor (Marilyn), Edward; daughter, Debbie (Dale) Portman; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; one 1/2 sister and one 1/2 brother. Bill was predeceased by his first wife, Anne; daughter-in-law, Ferne; sons, Lloyd and Dave Klain; parents, Olga Racho and Henry Goll. Cremation and no service held at Bill's request.
