Brian seemed to have that cute little smile right from the start and as he grew up he maintained this and always was the centre of attraction! Brian attended Battleford Central School and later went on to attend John Paul ll, he was involved in soccer and enjoyed sports of different kinds. Brian left to go out and conquer the world! He worded at different jobs around the Battlefords from pumping gas to working at Maple Leaf, he worked 3 days and quit! And his dad asked him "How come you quit, Brian?" and he answered "I'm just like you Dad, I don't want to work at a job I don't like!" Brian then went to work at Guys Furniture delivering furniture all over the place. He would always check in just to let us know where he was, what he was doing, and how much fun he was having! Brian always loved the outdoors. He and his brothers and sister would build forts all over in the bushes, playing in them for hours. Brian sure loved his toys! While out at the farm he would rip and roar around on anything that moved! For Brian's 14th birthday his Dad bought him a little Toyota red truck, he rammed, roared and spun the tires on that truck until he burnt the clutch out on it! He rode the quad around and around the yard on two wheels saying 'Look at me Dad'!!! Roaring to buddy's house on his dirt bike and always enjoying life to the fullest! Brian could be relied upon at anytime, to lend a helping hand on the farm. He would be the first to volunteer and the bond between father and son continued to grow. Brian was very proud of his first good crop which he had seeded last year as it came up just right and yielded a good crop. Brian moved to Strathmore, AB with his friend, Des, always full of new adventure. He started roofing and fencing and this continued for many years. During this time Brian made frequent trips back to North Battleford, to visit family and friends that were all so pleased to see him and that contagious smile and energy! Brian left his roofing job and started working of the rigs. He worked in camp jobs up in Northern Alberta. Brian gained his class 1A license a few years ago, again he would always check in again about the roads he was seeing out in Alberta and how much fun he was having. Brian was a loveable guy, he wore that cute little perma smile, he was always the centre of attraction. He was hard working, he loved little kids, and the kids loved him!! He was a big kid himself! He couldn't sit still mind you, always had somewhere to be, and someone to see, with a trail of friends beside him! He was very thoughtful and caring; he had a Heart of Gold. No matter where Brian went, or who he met on his travels, everyone just seemed to love the guy! He was so very generous, full of courage, and set his goals high! He was a terrible saver! He would give his last penny away! And on many occasions had spent his money before getting it, that was our Brian! One day when Brian and Dave were young kids, Brian was maybe 6ish and Dave around 4 or so, Dad (Marv) took them out to the field that he was hauling bails out of and we were in the car together, Dad had left the keys in the car while he was out loading bails onto the semi trailer. They didn't know how to drive obviously, but we knew dad would just turn the key to start it and pull the shifter down to go. So that's what they did. They always watched the show "Dukes of Hazard" and loved it so anyway they started the car, Brian was steering and Dave was on the floor working the gas and brakes. Their plan was to speed toward the semi and skid in sideways to a stop like the Duke boys did. Dad and Larry were there in the field and seen the car speeding towards them with Brian's little head barely above the dashboard. I still don't know how they did it to this day but Dad managed to get close enough to jump in the window and stop the car before we were going to crash into the trailer or the semi. But that's how it was when Brian and Dave were together, always on an adventure or some form of entertainment and laughs. Brian and Dave were not only brothers, but best friends as well. We will miss you and love you Brian!!! ____________________________________________________
