CANTY: Maisie Edith Canty Born Sept 22, 1927 Lily Dale District Saskatchewan. Died Aug. 27, 2012 Battlefords District Care Center. Maisie passed away peacefully with family at her side. She was born in the Lilydale district to Charles and Edith Paterson. She remained there until she was thirteen and then moved with her parents to Fruitvale B.C. As an adult she returned to Saskatchewan to visit her sister and met Hap Canty. They were married on April 13, 1951. They lived in various places in Saskatchewan and then settled in Coleville in 1959. Maisie was predeceased by her husband Hap, her Parents, sisters Jean Burt and Muriel Weir and a brother Donald Paterson. Mom's greatest love was her family Cicely (Gary) Tuffs, children Sean (Laurie) Tuffs, Gerri Tuffs, Kim (Jacquie) Tuffs, Rachel Tuffs, Patrick Canty , son Jason (Charity) Canty, Carol (Daryl) Arnott, sons Ryan (Amanda) Arnott, Brett Arnott, Nathan Arnott, Mike (Dianne) Canty, sons, Lee Ringette, Colin Ringette. She was great grandmother to thirteen! Mom will be sadly missed, but we are grateful that she is at peace. At Mom's request there was no funeral. ____________________________________________________
