BARCLAY: Bernice Elizabeth Barclay, age 80 years, resident of North Battleford, SK passed away at the Battlefords Union Hospital on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memory are her loving sons and their families: Craig (Janet) Barclay, Pierceland, SK, grandchildren: Douglas, Graeme and Katherine; Grant (Faye) Barclay, North Battleford, SK, step-grandchildren: Todd (Natalie) Morrison: Kyrstin & Julia, Wayne (Shareen) Morrison: Alexandra & Sarah; Brian (Rae Ann) Barclay, North Battleford, SK, grandchildren: Brianna & Madalin; brother-in-law, Thomas Gentles, Regina, SK; sisters-in-law: Verna Goad, Mt. Prospect, ILL, USA & Marion Barclay, Lanigan, SK; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ed and Fay Schroeder, Lethbridge, AB; cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents, Otto and Victorine Wenger; husband, Walter Russell Barclay; siblings: Beatrice Gentles, James (& Janet) Wenger, Mae (& Colin) Light, Shirley Wenger; brothers-in-law, Paul Goad and Robert Barclay; by In-laws, George and Francis Barclay. Bernice was born March 22, 1931 at Saskatoon, SK. The family moved to Waseca, SK where her formal education was received, graduating from Grade 12. On October 14, 1953, Bernice and Walter were married and to this union three sons completed the family. Bernice graduated from the RPN Program at the Saskatchewan Hospital, North Battleford, SK, where she continued this Profession at the Saskatchewan Hospital, the Community Psych-Nurse Program and then moving to the Mental Health Centre at the Battlefords Union Hospital, retiring in 1987. In her leisure time she enjoyed travelling, especially to Hawaii, Mexico and the Â鶹ÊÓƵern States. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Salvation Army (any Branch) or to The Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation, Inc, Box 1358, North Battleford, SK S9A 3L8. By request, there will not be a funeral service. Private Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date at Waseca, SK.
