ASMUSSEN, Jerrold William 1922 - 2013. The family of Jerrold William (Jerry) Asmussen, born September 15, 1922, are sad to announce the passing of their father on November 4th. He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen; brother Don (Hazel) and is proudly remembered by his four children and cherished grandchildren, Jeri-Lynn (Lauren) Robertson; Justin (Desirae), great grandson Theodore, Laura-Lynn (Ryan), Jonathan (Jackie): Gord (Crystal) Asmussen; Aaron (Jacqui), Jared: Kim (Brenda) Asmussen; Matthew (Susan), Michael (Whitney), Christina: Susan (Ed) Chibri; Thomas (Andie), Tamara, and his brother Ken (Ione). Over the years, he enjoyed volunteering his time and energy for various activities, charities, and organizations within the community. Jerry had a love of sports, dancing, and gardening, but the most important times were those spent with family and friends. Jerry's family would like to express their gratitude for the excellent care he received from the staff and friendships formed while at The Good Shepherd Villas. A Celebration of Jerry's life did take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Calvary United Church, 119 - 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 54 - 11th Street East, Prince Albert, SK S6V 0Z9 or a charity of donors choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Myriam Minier, Funeral Director.
