ANDRES, Helen ; Helen was born in Battleford, Saskatchewan on November 26, 1928 and passed from this life on June 21, 2012 in Strathmore, Alberta at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her father Joseph, mother Mary, brothers Donald, Bill, and John George, sisters Margaret, Marceline, and Dorothy, her first husband Martin and second husband Edward, son Richard, and daughter Janet. Helen is survived by fourteen children Melvin (Edna) of Donalda, Kenneth (Gladys) of Camrose, Geraldine (Buck) of Strathmore, Cecil (Debra) of Calgary, Eric (Cathy) of Wilkie, Eldon of Cutknife, Clarence of Camrose, Eugene (Esther) of Grande Prairie, Vern (Aase) of Barrhead, Marvin (Dorothy) of Acme, Doreen (Arnold) of Meadow Lake, Val-Marie of Manitoba, Dixie-Lee (Warren) of Saskatoon, and Carol of Cochrane; stepchildren Robert, James and Ethel; sister Blanch (Tommy); brothers Ronald (Shirley), Alton, and Bud; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Helen loved cooking, gardening, crocheting and knitting. She loved to cook for her family, the bigger the better. She was well known for her cooking and baking everywhere. Helen was a great mom and a wonderful grandmother. She is dearly missed and deeply loved by all. Rest in peace 'til we meet again. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at St. George's Anglican Church, (191, 24 Street, Battleford) at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Battleford Cemetery.
