Touch Football League ends regular season

Thursday marked the final night of the regular season schedule for the North Battleford Men's Touch Football League and six of the eight teams were in action. Last week, teams were trying to solidify their spots in the standings.

Thursday marked the final night of the regular season schedule for the North Battleford Men's Touch Football League and six of the eight teams were in action.

Last week, teams were trying to solidify their spots in the standings. The Rhinos clinched first place with a 38-12 win over the Headhunters Tuesday. The Rhinos played Thursday night, but already clinched first with a 10-1-0 mark.

The Huskies held second place with an 8-2-2 record. The Huskies earned back-to-back wins with a 28-14 over the Home Hardware Broncos and 20-6 over the Western Can Slammers.

The Gophers headed into the final day of the regular season with a 7-1-3 record. The Gophers beat the Western Can Slammers 36-0 Sept. 23.

Holding fourth place were the Headhunters at 5-5-1. They beat the Razorbacks 22-8 Sept. 23.

The Razorbacks sat at 4-6-1 and in fifth place heading into Thursday's action.

The Home Hardware Broncos ended the season with a 3-9-0 record. The Broncos finished with a loss Tuesday to the Silver Bullets 14-12.

The Silver Bullets held the seventh spot with a 2-8-1 record and in eighth were the Can Slammers at 2-9-0.

The playoffs get started Sunday with the quarter-finals. The A and B finals will conclude Oct. 15.
