Swedes sweep Saskatchewan

The Battlefords North Stars hosted the Under 17 Sweden Team Monday at the Civic Centre and it was the Swedes winning the international exhibition game. Mitch Galbraith scored the game's first goal, but from then on the Swedes' skill took over.

The Battlefords North Stars hosted the Under 17 Sweden Team Monday at the Civic Centre and it was the Swedes winning the international exhibition game.

Mitch Galbraith scored the game's first goal, but from then on the Swedes' skill took over.

Filip Forsberg, Axel Walltott and Lucas Wallmark, who scored twice, put Sweden up 4-1 early in the third.

Keith Grondin responded for the North Stars, but Erik Karlsson added an empty net goal for Sweden to take the 5-2 win.

Kyle Birch and Graham Hildebrand split time in the North Stars net.
