One semi final series is already over in Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League playoffs, while two other teams continued to battle it out this week to determine who would move on to the league finals.

Game four of the series between the Battleford Beaver Blues and the Radisson Wheatkings was set for Thursday night at the Battleford Arena, following the Blues' 4-3 win last Friday night in Radisson.

Pete Chandler, Mitch Phillips, Les Taylor and Lee Ulmer all had goals for the Blues, while Dana Derbowka, Joey Mychan and Troy Rookes all notched goals for the Wheatkings.

It was a much-needed win for the Blues after dropping the first two games of the series 7-3 and 3-1 to the Wheatkings. The win cuts Radisson's lead in the best-of-five series to 2-1.

Meanwhile the Maymont Settlers continue to sit back and wait to find out who will play them in the league final, expected to start once the Battleford-Radisson series is concluded.

Maymont were the first team to advance, completing a three-game sweep last Thursday of the Saulteaux 3 Stars.

They finished the Stars off in game three by a 14-6 count.

Both Tyler Hubbard and Stacey Wandler had hat tricks, with Wandler also notching two assists. Colby Beierle had two goals and five assists in the win. As well, Chad Bernier had two goals and two assists, Mark Kelloway had two goals and one assist, Tyson Poitras had one goal and four assists while Kenton Albert had one goal and three assists. Wade Waklin didn't score a goal but did notch five assists on the night.

For Saulteaux, Dustin Albert also had a three-goal night, while Andrew Moccasin, Darren Poitras and Dakota Tootoosis all notched goals for Saulteaux.
