Saskatchewan athletes return from Judo Canada event with 15 medals

Judo Saskatchewan sent a team of athletes to the 2024 Manitoba Open, a Judo Canada “A” sanctioned event, held this weekend in Winnipeg. The third annual event featured 248 participants in 357 entries.

The third annual event featured 248 participants in 357 entries. The 42 Saskatchewan competitors returned with 15 Gold medals, 13 Silver medals and 10 Bronze medals.

In two weeks, several of the advanced members of the Saskatchewan team will travel to Montreal to compete in the Quebec Open on November 9th and 10th, participate in the Fall National Camp on November 11th to 13th and the Junior and Cadet Pan American Cup events on November 14th to 17th.

Six Saskatchewan veteran athletes will also represent Canada at the 2024 Las Vegas World Veteran Judo Championships November 4th to 7th, 2024.
