Saskatchewan Roughriders' defensive back Rolan Milligan Jr. has returned to the team following the birth of his latest child.

Milligan Jr. missed the Riders 37-29 win over the Calgary Stampeders to be with his wife Samantha after his daughter was born on Tuesday, September 17.

"We had constant communication, even throughout the bye week, when things we're rolling there for him and his family. Making sure that everybody's healthy. From a business football side, we talked about that, what does that look like, what doesn't that look like. I always want to make sure, in situations like that, guys are doing the best thing for their family and themselves," Corey Mace said.

"For us throughout the week, we got guys taking reps at the position. We feel confident with the guys in the building. We love Ro and if you love Ro, you love his family. We're happy everybody's healthy and Suni's now a part of our world and Ro's got another one to play for. Happy everything worked out."

The 30-year-old was at practice in his usual boundary halfback position on Tuesday preparing for Saskatchewan's match up with Ottawa on Saturday. Through 13 games with the Green and White this season, Milligan Jr. has made 62 defensive tackles, 18 special teams tackles and six interceptions, tied for the CFL lead.

The Riders host the Redblacks on Saturday afternoon at Mosaic Stadium. Countdown to Kick-off begins with a chance to watch Justin Dunk and Wes Cates at 10 a.m. on . Luc Mullinder and I will join at 12 p.m. with the kick-off to follow at 1 p.m. on the .
