Pink jersey bring in big cash

The Battlefords North Stars' annual parents and billets weekend included an auction for the game worn pink jerseys. In total $3,855 was raised and will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society for breast cancer research.

The Battlefords North Stars' annual parents and billets weekend included an auction for the game worn pink jerseys. In total $3,855 was raised and will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society for breast cancer research.

"The parents weekend went well," said office and marketing manager Alison Landry.

Most players had some family their to support them and take in the weekend including players such as Shayne Morrissey from St. John's, Nfld., Colin Phaneuf and Kyle Birch from Winnipeg, Man. and Chris Neurauter from Red Deer, Alta.
