A Light of Christ Catholic School Division elementary wind-up bonspiel was held at the Battleford Curling Rink Dec. 3. Action started at 9 a.m. and went through until 3 p.m. All teams played five games over the day and fun was had by all.

Winning first place in the LCCSD elementary curling bonspiel was the Holy Family School team of Brett Benoit, Gavin Nolin, Kevin Bendall, Jared Schmidt and Brenna Liebscher.

A Light of Christ Catholic School Division elementary wind-up bonspiel was held at the Battleford Curling Rink Dec. 3.

Action started at 9 a.m. and went through until 3 p.m. All teams played five games over the day and fun was had by all.

The success of the event was contributed to by the many sponsors who supported the event and to Margo and her husband who had the canteen operating throughout the day.

Coaches and supervisors also pitched in throughout the day and over scheduled curling time this fall.

First place went to the Holy Family School team of Brett Benoit, Gavin Nolin, Kevin Bendall, Jared Schmidt and Brenna Liebscher.

Second place in the LCCSD curling bonspiel went to the EMBM team of Tristan Spanier, Austin Churchman, Ben Fransoo, David Mahmood and JJ Crowder.

Earning third place were Luke Keller, Braden Friesen, Landon Kroeker, Brett Gogert and Dorian Wintonyk of Holy Family School.

Notre Dame School's foursome of Riley Loeppky, Caden James, Dave Song and Dustin Mitchell swept their way to fourth place.
