NORTH BATTLEFORD - After taking 2020 off due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, a popular North Battleford summer basketball tournament resumes this year at the NationsWEST Field House.
The D Spyglass Above the Rim Shootout takes place Aug. 20-22. The event is organized by Daniel Spyglass with teams coming from all over, including out of province. This year, however, volleyball has been added to the sports happening this weekend.
There will be three divisions of competition this weekend: the Open Men's Division, Open Women's Division, as well as an Open Women's Division volleyball tournament. The entry fee is $800 for the men's division, $600 for the women's division, and $500 for women's volleyball.
COVID-19 rules will apply, and there will be prizes and awards in several categories including MVP, Mr. Hustle and Slam Dunk winners. For more information contact Daniel Spyglass at 306-296-3526 or email [email protected].
