Two Battlefords Barons AA teams began action in the Centre Four Hockey League and the result was the same for both.
The Parkland Pulse Peewee AA Barons hosted the West Central Wheat Kings Saturday at the Don Ross Arena and lost 4-2.
Sunday, Lloydminster was at the Don Ross Arena and beat the Peewee AA Barons 5-1.
The Midget AA Barons were also in action on the weekend, but they took a road trip to Nipawin to play North East Saturday. The Barons were shutout 8-0 to start the season.
The Bantam AA Barons will begin their season this weekend.
