Woman facing charges following report of stabbing in Saskatoon

SASKATOON - A woman is facing charges following an alleged stabbing early Saturday morning in Saskatoon.

On Aug. 3, at approximately 2:40 a.m. police were called to the 2200 block of 22nd Street W. for a report of a stabbing. Further updates stated the suspects were female, and were leaving heading eastbound.

When they arrived, officers found a 23-year-old man suffering from what was initially believed to be a life-threatening injury. The man was taken to hospital and treated for what was then found to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers then located and arrested the female suspects a couple of blocks away with the help of the Air Support Unit (ASU).

As a result, a 28-year-old woman is facing charges relating to aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and concealing a weapon.
