Momentum for the Credit Union CU Plex fundraising continues as Bill and Carol Volk have announced they will sponsor the dance floor in the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts.
The price tag for sponsorship of the dance floor was listed at $10,000.
In a statement, Bill Volk said they wanted to "show our support for the new complex because our daughter danced in the Battlefords for over 10 years and we understand the need for improved facilities."
So far an estimated $6.1 million has been raised by the Credit Union CU Plex committee towards reaching their $10 million goal. The contributions so far include naming rights for the overall complex and for three of the four components, along with smaller contributions towards the curling rinks, the theatre box office and one of the soccer pitches, among others.
Fundraising co-chairs Heath Gabruch and Rob Rongve have indicated more announcements on contributions and naming rights can be expected in the days to come.
