A rash of vehicle thefts has the St. Walburg Community Detachment of the RCMP seeking help from the public.

The most recent thefts were from a residence in Paradise Hill in the early hours of Nov. 28.

Two parked pickup trucks were stolen by thieves the RCMP describe as targeting unlocked vehicles, stealing the vehicles themselves or contents.

Stolen that Sunday were a 2005 black Dodge 2500 diesel crew cab and a grey 2008 Ford F-150 regular cab truck.

Similar events have occurred in the recent past in this area. The culprit(s) have focused on unlocked vehicles that provide ready access to be stolen or to have property stolen from them.

The RCMP are seeking information about these crimes and also advise people to be aware of this type of crime in orderto prevent it.They say vehicles should be locked with valuable items stored safely and out of sight or removed from unattended vehicles.
