Unidentified human remains found in Prince Albert

Investigators have notified loved ones of individuals who were previously reported missing in Prince Albert and have not yet been located.

Anyone with information about the human remains or identity of the deceased person is asked to contact police.

PRINCE ALBERT - Prince Albert police are working to identify human remains found Wednesday. An autopsy is scheduled.

On Oct. 16, at approximately 6 p.m., the Prince Albert Police Service received a report of a deceased person located in the 400 Block of 19th Street East. On arrival, police located human remains which have yet to be identified.

Thursday, police remain on scene as the Prince Albert Police Service Forensic Identification Section and Criminal Investigations Division investigate along with the Office of the Chief Coroner. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 22 where a forensic anthropologist and forensic pathologist will assist police to determine the identity of the deceased person.
