Kyle Burns and Raine Farrow are charged with second-degree murder

PRINCE ALBERT – Two men charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of 27-year-old Byron Lee Bear appeared in Prince Albert court.

Kyle Burns, 37, appears again on Feb. 28 and Raine Tristen Von Farrow, 23, appears next on March 3.

Bear’s remains were found on Feb. 10, 2022, in a rural area near Hague. Prince Albert Police say that Bear was reported missing Dec. 7, 2021, by his family, and thought to be involved in a serious assault in the early morning of Dec. 6, 2021, at a residence in the 300 block of 9 Street East in Prince Albert. Police say that they responded at about 4 a.m. on Dec. 6, 2021, to reports of gunshots. When they arrived they found evidence of a serious assault but no victim.

The RCMP Forensic Identification Section, Major Crime Unit, Search and Rescue Unit, and K9 Services assisted Prince Albert Police in the investigation.

The charges against Burns and Farrow haven’t been proven in court.
