A trial is under way in Battleford for a man accused of murdering his father in the Cochin area.
Josh Roy Tucker is on trial this week in Battleford Queen’s Bench court for second degree murder in connection to the May 31, 2018, death of 59-year-old Gordon Ernest Tucker on a rural property southeast of Cochin.
The trial was originally scheduled for May of this year, but was delayed due to provincial COVID-19 restrictions imposed throughout the court system in the spring. Tucker has elected trial by judge alone.
Proceedings got under way Monday at Queen’s Bench with the calling of Crown witnesses. The trial is scheduled to last throughout this week.
