The City of North Battleford is being represented on the board of directors for Communities of Tomorrow - described as Canada's first municipal infrastructure innovation network.

City Manager Jim Toye will be representing the city on that board, which has members from across Canada.

The Communities of Tomorrow is a public-private partnership that works with industry, municipalities and researchers to find innovative solutions to infrastructure challenges. The organization assists in the development of more cost-effective, longer-lasting and fiscally friendly infrastructure products and services to create jobs and grow economic activity.

In a media statement Toye said he was honoured to represent North Battleford on the board.

"We all share the common goal of catalyzing economic development and providing direct cost savings on infrastructure to Saskatchewan municipalities," Toye said.
