SASKATOON — The Saskatoon Police Service will further investigate an early morning structure fire in the 1100 block of 9th Street East on Thursday, July 25.
The Saskatoon Fire Department turned the scene to SPS after the fire investigator concluded that the cause of the fire had been determined.
SFD has not released additional information on the incident and will give an update as it becomes available.
The incident was reported at 2:34 a.m., with the first arriving fire crews seeing smoke and flames coming from the detached garage.
Firefighters advanced hose lines to apply water to the structure's exterior while another crew were assigned to confirm no one was inside.
The fire had been completely extinguished and no injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters.
