Rose Valley couple buys $100,000 ticket in Lake Lenore

Gene Trew and Judith Neinaber said they haven’t made any specific decisions for their windfall yet.

ROSE VALLEY - Gene Trew and Judith Neinaber were enjoying a regular day of errands when they checked their Lotto Max ticket on the self-scanner and called Gene over to look at the screen,” said Neinaber. “I thought it was a $10,000 winner and I was happy with that!”

“We grabbed what we needed at the store and brought the ticket to the store clerk,” she continued. “The clerk told us we won $100,000, not $10,000 – that was pretty exciting!”

The winning Rose Valley couple said they haven’t made any specific decisions for their windfall yet.

“We don’t have any big plans,” said Trew. “But this is a nice little bump. It’ll help to ease things financially and just help us out overall.”

The couple purchased their winning ticket at Lake Lenore Grocery Co-op Ltd., located at 102 Main Street in Lake Lenore. They won their prize by matching the last six digits of the Extra number drawn on Nov. 23 – 3824157.

Sask Lotteries is the main fundraiser for more than 12,000 sport, culture and recreation groups in communities across Saskatchewan.
