As Christmas decorations are put away and we reflect on plans for the year ahead, new resolutions to improve our lives and the communities we live in are front and center.
Perhaps you've grown tired of vowing to lose the same 20 pounds you've promised to drop for the last 10 years. Maybe this won't be the year you tackle that pile of novels on your bedside table or finally empty the garage out once and for all. Are you still looking for a great resolution for 2011?
The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region has a new resolution for you: Get healthy, stay healthy and make your community a healthier place to live in simply by regularly volunteering at Victoria Hospital or long-term care facility in your area.
Statistics show people who volunteer report being happier and healthier than those who don't. With 60 different Volunteer Service descriptions, the Health Region definitely has one that can offer you the experience, opportunity and sense of accomplishment you are seeking.
Please call the Volunteer Services Department at 306-765-6010 or 765-6119 or the facility in your community and let us show you how easy it will be to fulfill this New Year's resolution.
