AHTAHKAKOOP FIRST NATION — On the afternoon of Aug. 6, Shellbrook RCMP received a report that the body of an adult male had been discovered on the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation.
Investigators believe the body to be that of 22-year-old Isaiah Arcand of Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation, who was reported missing to police on June 29 of this year.
The circumstances surrounding Arcand’s death are not being considered suspicious at this time.
The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is now investigating and an autopsy will take place to confirm the identity of the deceased. RCMP say the family are aware of the discovery. Police say their condolences go out to them during this undoubtedly very difficult time.
