RCMP looking for suspect in vehicle theft investigation

If you see Jordan Peterson, do not approach him.

AHTAHKAKOOP FIRST NATION - Saskatchewan RCMP Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team WEST continue working to locate and arrest 31-year-old Jordan Peterson and ask members of the public to report all sightings and information about his whereabouts.

On July 30, WEST was in the Ahtahkakoop First Nation area for an unrelated police investigation when they located a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Big River earlier that morning. Two occupants were seen inside the vehicle.

Officers engaged their emergency lights and attempted a traffic stop; however, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed, nearly hitting the police vehicle, and headed west on Highway 790. Officers followed, and as the vehicle began to slow down, report RCMP, the driver and the passenger switched places. The truck sped off towards the Big River area.

RCMP say officers did not pursue the vehicle due to public safety concerns, but continued to follow in its direction.

The vehicle later turned down an unmarked dirt trail, but officers couldn't follow due to poor road conditions, so drone technology was used to observe the stolen vehicle travelling towards a wooded area. Big River RCMP were engaged to assist with the detachment’s all-terrain vehicles.

Officers located an adult female walking in a nearby field and arrested her at the scene. Officers later located the stolen vehicle abandoned near Whitefish First Nation with considerable damage.

A 26-year-old woman from Ahtahkakoop First Nation is charged with robbery, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from peace officer, and driving while prohibited.

Police are still looking for 31-year-old Jordan Peterson from Prince Albert. He is described as approximately five foot 10 and 200 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes. He has multiple letter/word tattoos on his hands and diamond shapes tattooed on his left forearm.

If you see Jordan Peterson, do not approach him. Report all sightings or information on his whereabouts to your local police service. You can reach your local RCMP detachment by dialing 310-RCMP and information can be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or .
