Update: Prince Albert police treating Saturday's death as homicide

An injured man was transported to the Victoria Hospital where he was declared deceased.

PRINCE ALBERT - Update: The Prince Albert Police Service continue to investigate the death of 41-year-old Travis Caisse who passed away early Saturday morning after police responded to a residence in the 300 Block of 15th Street West for an injured person.

An autopsy was performed Monday and police are now investigating the death as a homicide. The Prince Albert Police Service Criminal Investigations Unit and Forensic Identification Unit executed a search warrant at the residence where Travis Caisse was located early Saturday morning.

Police say that on Aug. 10, just before 1:30 a.m., they attended to a residence in the 300 Block of 15th Street West for the report of an injured person.

On arrival, officers located an injured 41-year-old male and provided life-saving measures, along with Parkland Ambulance. The male was transported to the Victoria Hospital where he was declared deceased.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 12, in Saskatoon.
