Police seek public's help following stabbing reported in Saskatoon

The victim told officers the stabbing happened while getting a ride to Saskatoon from Prince Albert.

SASKATOON - Police are looking for the public's help following a stabbing that was reported in Saskatoon.

At approximately 6 a.m. on Aug. 31, police received a report of an injured woman in the area of Meadows Blvd. and Stilling Lane. Further updates stated a woman had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers located the 24-year-old woman suffering from injuries consistent with a stab wound. The victim told officers the stabbing happened while getting a ride to Saskatoon from Prince Albert. She was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The Saskatoon Police Serious Assault Unit (SAU) is continuing to investigate.
