It's been confirmed that Pink Shirt Day is being held this Feb. 24 in support of Anti-Bullying.
The day is being backed by Boys & Girls Clubs of The Battlefords as well as two departments at Discovery Co-op.
The T-shirt design was selected in January in a design competition. The winning entry came from a nine-year old named Ryliegh whose drawing was in keeping with 2021's theme of 鈥淟ift Each Other Up鈥. The design has been printed on pink T-shirts by the staff at FF2 Get Dressed, and is now available to purchase through FF2 either in person or online!聽
In addition, thanks to Discovery Co-operative Ltd. Bakery, pink t-shirt sugar cookies are now available to pre-order. Those forms can be emailed to you or picked up at their main site at 1301 104th Street, North Battleford, or filled out online from https://www.bgcbattlefords.ca/annual-events/pink-shirt-day/2021-pink-shirt-day-cookie-pre-order-form/ . The pre-order deadline is February 18.
Proceeds from Pink Shirt Day T-Shirts and Cookies go directly towards programming costs at BGCB. More information can be found at their website https://www.bgcbattlefords.ca/annual-events/pink-shirt-day/ .
