Pages in the Park Pop Up Tents invite kids to read

Soon, families will be able to find blue pop-up tents on playgrounds in Light of Christ School Division where kids can read books and take part in activities.

They are Pages in the Park Pop Up Tents, which is a free literacy initiative of Light of Christ Catholic School Division, the Ministry of Education and Frontier College.

It will be offered at Light of Christ school playgrounds from July 12 to Aug. 12. According to the school division, participants there can read books, participate in activities and crafts and leave with books to enjoy at home. Activities are delivered in a flexible come-and-go format.

They tents are open 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Locations are: Mondays at Notre Dame, Tuesdays at St. Marys, Wednesdays at EMBM, and Thursdays at Holy Family. For more, see the Pages in the Park Facebook page.
