The F.E. Holliday plant is not fully operating due to high organics and turpidity currently in the North Saskatchewan River.
As a result, the city of North Battleford has issued a ban on all outdoor watering until further notice.
The city says the ban is simply a precaution because of the slowdown in the treatment and production of potable water due to the high organics and turpidity in the river. The city emphasizes the quality of the drinking water is not compromised.
