The Battlefords Chamber of Commerce has taken on a new marketing co-ordinator.
Lora Sander has taken over that position with the Chamber. Sander is a Luseland resident and a mother of three daughters.
In a Sept. 13 letter to Chamber members announcing her appointment, Sander said she was "very excited to be a part of the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce team." She has pledged open communication between herself and Chamber members.
Sander has wasted no time in getting right to work on two new marketing initiatives that Chamber members can get involved in.
One is the revitalization of the roadside signage program on Highway 16 east and west of the community, something that allows businesses the opportunity to advertise at high-visibility locations.
Also, the Battlefords Visitor Information Centre will have three new recycling/trash bins at their location, all of which will feature signs that can be used for advertising businesses or upcoming major events.
Deadlines are looming for businesses interested in getting involved. The deadline for the trash bins signage is Sept. 20 and for the roadside signage it is Sept. 24.
