A North Battleford man charged with attempted murder was denied bail in Prince Albert Provincial Court.

Trent Fox, 19, had show cause hearings on Dec. 16 and Dec. 22 but he was denied bail and a warrant of committal was issued.

Fox was originally denied bail on Nov. 19 and he was scheduled to enter a plea on Dec. 3 but on that day the matter was adjourned to Dec. 10 for a show cause hearing. That hearing was adjourned to Dec. 16 and then Dec. 22.  The details of show cause hearings are protected under a court ordered ban on publication.

Fox is accused of stabbing a 21-year-old man on Oct. 14 at a business in Prince Albert. He suffered life-threatening injuries and STARS took him to a Saskatoon hospital.

According to Prince Albert Police, Fox hitchhiked from North Battleford to Prince Albert earlier in the evening on Oct. 14.

Fox is now scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court by CCTV on Dec. 29 to enter a plea and elect how he wants to be tried.
