Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation has announced it received a major donation recently North Battleford Lions Club.
The donation is $10,000 towards BUH Foundation鈥檚 capital campaign, 鈥淎dvanced O.R. Technology: Mending 鈥� Healing 鈥� Healthy鈥� to purchase anesthetic machines for the operating room. The current 15-year-old anesthetic machines will be replaced in three of the four OR theatres at BUH.
鈥淭his couldn鈥檛 have come at a better time and we are grateful to the community and the NB Lions Club for supporting this initiative,鈥� said Chris Etcheverry, director of Acute Care Services at BUH, in a news release.
鈥淭here are approximately 4,500 surgeries for pediatric and adult patients and we want to give them the very best of care, which includes top-notch medical equipment.鈥�
