Missing Prince Albert man found deceased

Dwight Whitehead was last seen on New Year's Eve around 2 a.m. walking away from the Comfort Inn hotel located at 3863 2nd Avenue West in Prince Albert. His body was found in a wooded area Monday.

Dwight Whitehead was last seen by friends on New Year's Eve around 2 a.m. walking away from the Comfort Inn hotel located at 3863 2nd Avenue West in Prince Albert.

PRINCE ALBERT - Late Monday morning, police were called to a wooded area near the 1000 Block of 18th Street West for a report of a deceased man.

Prince Albert Police and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service are investigating.  

Dwight Whitehead, age 32, has been identified as the deceased. He was previously reported missing to the Prince Albert Police Service on Jan. 8. 

Police don’t consider Whitehead’s death suspicious.

The Prince Albert Grand Council Search and Rescue and the Prince Albert Fire Department assisted with this investigation.
