Man taken to hospital following assault in Saskatoon

SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating an assault in the community.

On Oct. 21 at approximately 11:30 p.m., police were called to the 2300 block of 17th Street West for a report of an assault in progress. Initial call information stated two males were assaulting another male. Further information stated the suspects had fled the scene.

Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old man suffering from injuries consistent with an assault; he was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The Saskatoon Police Serious Assault Unit is continuing to investigate. Anyone with information that may assist in the investigation is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers.
