MELFORT - A man is facing drug-related charges following a police seizure in Melfort.
On Aug. 29, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team (CRT) and Melfort RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Burns Avenue as part of an ongoing drug-trafficking investigation.
When officers arrived on scene, a man was located and arrested at the home.
During their subsequent investigation, officers located and seized small amounts of cocaine and methamphetamine, a sum of cash, and drug-trafficking paraphernalia at the residence.
Melfort RCMP assisted in this investigation.
As a result of continued investigation, a 36-year-old man from Melfort is charged with: possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine; possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine; and possession of property obtained by crime less than $5,000.
He is scheduled to appear in Melfort Provincial Court on Nov. 4.
