A man facing numerous drug trafficking and weapons charges was denied bail in Nipawin Circuit Court.
Ross Holmes, 26, was arrested by Nipawin RCMP following a traffic stop in Nipawin on July 3. During the stop, police noticed shotgun shells in the center console of the vehicle. They seized two firearms that had suppressors, a modified firearm, multiple loaded magazines and rounds of ammunition. They also seized 106 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 12 grams of suspected fentanyl and other drug-related paraphernalia.
Holmes, from Moose Range, was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm without a license, and 10 more firearms related offences.
He appears next in Nipawin Circuit Court July 28 to elect how he wants to be tried.
