Man charged with murder in 2023 Saskatoon death

A Saskatoon man is charged with first-degree murder.

SASKATOON - Saskatoon Police Service are reporting a 31-year-old man has been charged following a homicide that occurred last year in Saskatoon. 

On July 24, the Saskatoon Police Major Crime Section, with assistance from the Guns and Gangs Unit and the Saskatchewan RCMP's Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) were able to locate the man and take him into custody in Saskatoon.

The Saskatoon man is charged with first-degree murder. He will make his first appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court on July 25. 

Saskatoon Police previously reported at about 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 14, 2023, patrol officers responded to an injured person in the back alley of the 2700 block of 21st Street West. The man was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
