A Saulteaux First Nation man charged with aggravated assault was granted bail.
A show cause hearing for Mitchell Night, 20, was held in North Battleford Provincial Court on May 20. The details of what was said during the bail hearing can’t be published.
According to North Battleford RCMP, they responded to a complaint of an assault at a residence on Saulteaux First Nation around 12:40 a.m. on May 16. EMS also responded and took a 28-year-old man to hospital with serious injuries.
Police say they called in RCMP Major Crime Unit North. Night was arrested and charged. The charges against him haven’t been proven in court.
Saulteaux First Nation is located 20 kilometres north of North Battleford.
