OnÌýSunday, Dec. 20, Prince Albert RCMP received a report of uttering threats at a rural residence located on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation. A second report was received minutes later of neighbours hearing the sound of gun shots being fired in the area.

Upon arrival, Prince Albert RCMP immediately began to set up containment to secure the perimeter of the residence to help ensure public safety.

Initial information gathered by police on scene revealed an adult male who was the subject of the initial complaint had a history of violence involving firearms.

The Saskatchewan RCMP would like thank local residents for their cooperation and for providing officers with the space required to conduct a safe and thorough investigation.
