The turkey has been eaten, thanks has been given and the drunk drivers have been arrested.
"The North Battleford Traffic Services Unit, with assistance from surrounding detachments, have achieved the most successful operation in several years," said Cst. Shawn Walker.
Over the long weekend, a Canada-wide operation was carried out to keep the highways and roads safe during the holidays.
A number of charges were handed out by local traffic services, including 125 seatbelt charges, 35 for speeding and 12 people were caught disobeying stop signs.
Six impaired drivers were nabbed and 39 assorted charges were laid for a variety of offences, including driving while disqualified and having open liquor in the vehicle.
Marijuana was also seized from four separate vehicles.
"It's extremely surprising, the number of violators who were dealt with," said Walker. "But it certainly makes it evident that operations such as this are extremely important."
